The Duck Tote is cut from 100% heavy cotton canvas at roughly 12 oz — thick enough that it stands up on its own when it's loaded, which is the difference between a bag and a limp fabric rectangle. Le Backpack, the Mini Crossbody and The Weekender use a durable water-resistant recycled poly-canvas instead: lighter, faster to dry, and made from post-consumer plastic rather than virgin fibre. All of them run antique-brass hardware, because plated zinc is the part of a cheap bag that fails first and there's no point building the rest well if the buckle snaps.
The Mini Crossbody is a phone-wallet-keys bag for days you don't want to carry anything else. The Duck Tote is the groceries-and-a-laptop everyday option. Le Backpack is the commuter — two straps, structured back panel, the one to buy if you cycle or walk far. The Weekender is the two-nights-away bag and the only one in the range sized for a change of clothes. Water-resistant is not waterproof and we'd rather say so here than in a refund email. The recycled poly-canvas shrugs off drizzle and a spilled coffee; it is not a dry bag, and a laptop in a downpour still wants a sleeve. The cotton canvas tote is the least weatherproof of the four by design — it's a canvas tote, and it behaves like one.
Spot-clean with cold water and a cloth rather than putting any of these through a machine — washing machines are hard on structured seams and harder on brass.
